RARE Restoration

In late 2025, Catchlight Painting proudly acquired RARE Restoration, bringing yet another respected legacy of craftsmanship and care into the Catchlight family. Now operating as RARE Restoration by Catchlight Painting, this partnership allows us to offer specialized restoration services alongside the high-quality finishes our clients have come to expect. These new services include high-end restoration of furniture, lighting, decorations, vintage locks, family treasures and architectural elements

A Legacy of Restoration

Originally known as Village Green Renewal, RARE Restoration has been proudly serving the Greater Boston area since 2008. RARE Restoration founder and lead crafts person Seth Barrett along with his key staff remain at the helm during this transition, preserving the wide range of services, attention to detail, and customer relations that sets RARE aside from other restoration services.
