Ice Dam Damage & Repair
Project Summary
Common throughout New England, ice dams form when direct sun and heated attic air creates warm spots on a roof, melting accumulated snow. The flow of melted snow refreezes overnight with the temperature drop, and ice, expanding and damming as it must, will then force later melt water to drain behind exterior trim and siding, and into interior wall and ceiling spaces
